Forum Feedback Does reputation go down over time?

I noticed my reputation goes down to 1 button(or whatever u call it, below posts count) every other time..
with great difficulty i manage to get 2 buttonshyeah:

but it goes down to 1 again
i couldnt find anything on this in faq/rules..

by getting repped i suppose

check if any of your repps got deleted... that might be the reason..
also if you are noticing this after a long time the mostly you lost repps when repps related to general talk section were decided to be removed.

I think second button is added after 50 reps. Correct me if I am wrong.

What is with the obsession with reps? Keep it simple. If you can help anyone, anywhere, do it. If you see someone helping anyone or if someone helps you, rep that guy.

The more you worry about your own reps, the greater is the possibility that you will get none. :|

AFAIK one will get 0 rep point from a member who is low on reputation points and you can receive as high as 96-100 points from a mod or a mod level reputed person.

I think its not the no of reps that matters, it is the no of rep points you earn.

I was not targeting you with my post, but every now and then I see people coming up with unimaginable ways to get some reps. Why can't people relax and enjoy the damn forums?

I also remember, I was just hunting for rep points before (about 2-3 year back, when I wanted to RULE THE WORLD, I was kiddish that time :bleh then I realised reps are not asked or begged.. They're given to you for your honour, talent

It's ok if you get reputation slowly slowly.. But you'll gain respect and you'll be proud of it..

Answer for 0 Points from some reputations -

Reputation system has some formula, e.g. If I've 1000 Rep points, and I add reps to you, you'll get 50 points. If the member have less reputation points, and if he add reputation points to you then you'll get a reputation but that's worth zero point.. That's it.
