Storage Solutions Does Seagate 7200.12 improve OS Performance?

I am using seagate 500GB 7200.12 and i can feel the performance boost..

So what is faster for OS and apps now? :S
A 500GB 7200.12 or a 250GB 7200.12?
and what model no. precisely?

I personally like the WD's a lot more than seagate. I have a 500 GB WD for two years without any problem and my newer seagate has already crashed one time. Avoid seagate if you can.
