I am planning to sell 2 domain names but I don't know how much amount I should ask? One is .com and another one is .info

price of a domain name depends on number factors like

  • no of backlinks,
  • are they brandable,
  • number of letters(less is the better),
  • extension(.com is the highest value),
  • its age(older ones are of more value),
  • how unique,
  • easy to remember the names are etc

But actual value coudn't be told unless we know the exact name. so post them here

Was planning to post the SAME here but was bored to type :P

Thanks for doing that.

Apart from the above points also add:

* It's Page Rank

* Traffic that it might be getting if a site

* Is it a geo specific domain - e.g. even if it is a .com it can be cityname.com

* It's category (Shopping, Technology, Entertainment, Health etc)

In short unless we know the EXACT name we cannot give you any appraisal. Also, one thing important to be noted is that there can never be an exact valuation. Sometimes despite your name being good there won't be any takers while at times a name that might sound stupid to you might get sold in $XXX! So LUCK component also plays a big role :ohyeah:

Also .info domains always have lesser value in general than the .com ones unless it is a really special one!
