Guys, is it normal for the Vcore to drop under load?
i mean...when my cpu is on load, the Vcore drops from 1.5V to 1.47V

Also, what is this +2.5V line?..for me..it shows only 1.47V on that..is that normal or has my PSU gone bust?

im asking because my comp suddenly seemed to have slowed down:(

and AM3 scores dropped from 50k to 42k:@

Nope, its not normal. But then again, motherboard sensors tend to be inaccurate. Have you noticed this behaviour before?

The CPU vcore generally is the *most* stable line compared to all other lines - 12v, 5v, 3.3v. Since vcore is regulated by the motherboard from the 12v line, any variations in the vcore point to the motherboard (assuming your 12v line is stable).

Also, there isnt any 2.5v line , there's only 3.3v, 5v, 12v, vCore (on any standard board)

well..speedfan was showin something about +2.5V...i never observed Vcore..now its kinda going down to 1.47Volts even on the slightest loads like playing music..

^ Hehe, spoke to him on Y! Mess and partly solved his problem I guess.. it isnt a problem a p4p800 is going to solve ;) - its definately a PSU problem. He removed a couple of fans and unloaded the PSU, and things went back to normal.

so thats why he sent an offline msg askin me to mod his PSU
