There have been reports of batteries used by Sony repair centres that are used to change FW versions freely and also fix bricked PSPs. There is now an exploit to turn any official sony psp battery into one of these. Exploit is by Dark_Alex and others so trustworthy I guess. Lumines/GTA are not required anymore. So we can muck around in flash0 and flash1 however much we want.

Nukeu666, for a guy with a bricked PSP, it wouldn't be a big deal to buy a battery and get hold of someone with a custom FW just to get his once beloved brick up & running again
 
^apparently once the battery and mem card are loaded with the unbricker they no longer behave as regular battery ie you cant use it for regular usage..
 
You run a program on a homebrew-enabled PSP that will convert a standard PSP battery into a jigkick battery. Note that you can't then use that battery normally - so you should use a spare one.

actually, you can reset a jigged battery back to normal if you backup its data before flashing it

so no extra batt needed either...
 
simple n straight guide, u dont need an extra battery but u do need an extra psp to make the MAGIC mem card n MAGIC battery
 
but tell me what actually happens in battery is something stored in it???battery only has charges na???from where does memory related stuff comes into it....not gettin the logic
