Edited to add more information about installing Lame, and added link to lame 3.97
I have to preface this Article/Guide, to let you know that you will need to purchase one piece of Software as directed by this tutorial. Considering the low cost ($25.00), and the benefits of downloading high quality music with no missing files or truncated songs, it is worth it, it is called Tunebite.
Secondly, if you want to go to the trouble, you can actually keep this going for more than 2 weeks by uninstalling and re-installing Windows Media Payer (I will explain this at the end)
If you haven't already, download and install Windows Media Player 11, it should give you an option to install Urge during install.
If you already have WMP 11 installed go to the Urge website, download it and install it..
Once Urge is installed you will be offered to sign up for a two week free trial.
Here's how it works
Urge uses .wma file format (Windows Media file format) When you download a music file from Urge, it has an attached license that expires on a certain date. This is " Digital Rights Media content protection or DRM" and so after the 2 week trial is up, the files will stop playing.
However, during this 2 week trial you can download as much music as you want..... If you try to convert these files normally or transfer and convert to .mp3 using iTunes or something... you will get an error message. Tunebite is a program that will allow you to convert these files to .mp3 regardless of the protected content.

The thing to remember is that it will only convert these files so long as the license attached to the .wma file is current. When the trial runs out, Tunebite will be unable to convert files to .mp3.

Tunebight use Lame to encode fies to mp3 format, so you need to download Lame (Free)
Select Lame in the Tunebite Options, my best suggestion is to copy the Lame folder inside of the Tunebite folder, and select the Lame files in the Tunebite Options. The only files that you need are - Lame.exe and lame_enc.dll and these file are pretty small.
After 2 weeks, if you wish to download more music .. do the following.
Uninstall urge, then Windows Media Player 11, then got to add/remove programs, select window installed programs, and also uninstall older version of Windows Media Player there too.
Reboot, and then reinstall Windows Media Player from windows add remove windows components, then reinstall Windows Media Player 11, then reinstall Urge.. you should be able to open up another 2 week trial.)

Tunebite plays your files in the background using High-Speed Digital Dubbing, automatically records them while they are playing, and saves the recordings as unprotected MP3, WMA or OGG files that can be played on almost any device.
The thing to remember is that it will only convert these files so long as the license attached to the .wma file is current. When the trial runs out, Tunebite will be unable to convert files to .mp3.
