Hi,

Can anyone please suggest me a download manager which stores Rapidshare Details (ala IDM ). I tried D4X and Multiget and both do not support it.

I don't want to use Jdownloader as its too heavy on the system.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks..

Jdownloader is the best download manager for Linux if you're specially interested in downloading through RS and similar websites.

Though if you don't want to use Jdownload then you can try Freerapid. It support many websites including Rapidshare.com (+ premium)

Am currently using FreeRapid on W7 as i was unable to download jDownloader. however there is a small bit of lag with freerapid as well, but maybe due to slower processor(celeron m 530 - 1.73Ghz) in my laptop.

you may also try the one that is supplied with kde and gnome.

wget for gnome and kget (or is it kwget) for kde.

works well for me.

you will have to see if RS works over it.

Try DownloadHelper, a Firefox add-on. Supports Rapidshare premium, queues, and you can directly open files from within the manager. Only thing lacking is a download speed limit setting.
