DRAM Refresh Failure : How to solve ?

Hi,
I have got following parts today
AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE
MSI 880GMA - E45
Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600MHz

According to MSI website my mobo supports RAMs with 1333 and 1600(O.C.). When i m starting my system, one short beep is heard. I google'd and found out that its DRM Refresh Failure and it has something to do with frequency sync between Proccy and RAM.

So is my RAM incompatible ? If No how to resolve this ?
please help.

Thanks..!!

P.S. : I have seen siggy of many members running 1600MHz RAM on same mobo.

You mean DRAM refresh failure, right?

Anyways, assuming its a single 4GB stick, put it in a different slot/ try resetting the mobo by removing the BIOS battery for ~2 minutes. If the issue still persists, check whether the fault is with the mobo or the RAM. Get the part RMA'd.

If incompatible, start :cursing: corsair.

Many are running 1600MHz, but some have different modules.

Yeah i mean same. I have 2*2GB sticks, same modules. I have tried putting them in different slots both togather and single stick at a time.
I have also updated BIOS to latest version. I have tried BIOS reset too by shorting both terminals of BIOS with CMOS battery.

I teied to change some settings in BIOS but they did not help.

I think RAM is the fault, get it replaced.
The same RAM modules were working fine just before 10 mins on my old setup; C2D E6550|Gigabyte G41M-Combo. Still i will try them with my old system again and let you know.

After that short beep does your system allows you to logon and use Windows?? If yes, then you dont have to worry about anything.

If not, then acc to your Mobo Manual :

In Dual-Channel mode, make sure that you install memory modules of the same type and density in different channel DIMM slots.
To enable successful system boot-up, always insert the memory modules into the DIMM1 first.

I had my old system (C2D E6550 and Gigabyte G41M-Combo) working fine just 10 mins before. Still I will try again on that old system.

Actually due to this issue system kept on restarting 3-4 times and my Win 7 crashed. I tried installing Win XP but faced a BSOD with "STOP 0x0000008e". Micrsoft support says this.
So not aware if i can boot into system.
