i'm looking for a entry level/midrange? dslr around 30k

i was looking at sony alpha37,or i could get slta57 from amazon for 30k ish...which one is better?

also if i have to choose for canon 600d...or any equally good alternative on nikon?

i really liked reviews pentax k30...is it worth going for pentax...im actually biased towards pentax..

any valuable suggestion would be very helpful...thanx in advance.

You can get the Sony A58 for 29.7k in ebay.in with official warranty and at that price there is no competition. The A58 has a OLED EVF which IMO is a big improvement compared to the ones in the A37 and the A57 that i own.The A58 also has a significantly higher battery life compared to any other SLT camera.

The A58 is some what of a downgrade compared to the A57 due to lower FPS and smaller lcd screen with only tilt function,it also only shoot at 108oP 25fps vs 1080p 50fps of the A57.

If you are new to Photography Best is D3200 Nikon, 18-55kit lens,

Mate can you please share the link. Need to buy one for a friend.

Its not online offer , its from "photolink " a shop in Thrissur ,Kerala . Actually its the bundled kit of 1100D+ 18 55+ 55 250 they are giving 1100+18 55 for 15 and they sell the bundled 55 250 separate. Check your local shops they might also offer the same , (Today i went there to buy a 6D Body for a friend (99k) they are offering 60d Body for 38K which i bought 5 days back for 39K from another shop :( )

The 1100 D has a sensor which has just half the resolution of the competition sensors and is very very old dating back to the 2008 450D and the ergonomics just isn't as good as the competition and the viewfinder is so tiny ,even the AF specs are inferior compared to the completion.

Megapixels matter when we make Huge Printouts, for normal usage 8MP is more than sufficient i would 99% of your shots are not going to end up at printer . mostly people share pic in net ,make some 6x4 prints ets . i have made good 14x19 prints with my 350d and 1000d . . And about AF dpreview.com says it has "Consistently reliable metering and good AF accuracy". you may not get a big viewfinder and ergonomics as a 30K competitor cam but for just 15K its worth . And important thing is that features dont get you good pics but adding another lens may increase your chance of getting more frames .

Check the photo streem of Dewa Gsp he is using 1100D
