Camera DSLR for 40k

OMEGA44-XT

Skilled
Looking to buy a DSLR for my cousin (Design student doing her bachelor's degree) who has used a rented Canon 200D II DSLR for a few months, and now wants to buy one.

What's your budget?
40k - flexible upto 50k if really worth it, but 40k is already stretching it considering a laptop purchase is coming up as well

Camera type?
DSLR

Body Style?
Compact or Bridge (bulky)
DSLRs are bulky, fine with it

How much zoom do you want/expect?
3x will be fine but not for bird watching or so

Do you care for manual exposure controls?
Not sure, will be good, I guess

What's the purpose?
Design student (will be in college for another 3 years), product photography, event photography, general photography - beginner

What will you be shooting with this camera?
Indoors (product shoot), low light, night time, event photography and other general photography

Do you have any particular model(s) in your mind?
Have these options:
- new, kindly recommend
- used, 2019 Canon 77D with 18-55m & 50mm lens + some accessories for 40k - good deal or not? what's a fair price?
- used , 2015 Sony A58 with 50mm & 70-300mm lens for 18k - good deal or not? what's a fair price?
- any other used recommendation?

Any brand preference? Like/dislike
Canon, Nikon & Sony are the big players IMO, so will prefer those.

From where will you be buying?
Any

Any specific features you need?
None too specific

Anything else you would like to tell us?
None

This kit checks all those boxes. The SLR (optical viewfinder) is particularly helpful for low light conditions, where the electronic viewfinder of a mirrorless might not be able to show dark scenes.

The price is good, but this is an old camera, unless it was maintained really well, not worth getting. Besides those lenses are not suited for "general" photography. They're good for portraits, wildlife and such.

Awesome. Get a new UV filter for the lens. It's less about filtering out UV rays than protecting the front element of the lens from touches/scratches. Like tempered glass for phones.

The accessories had it, Osaka Multi Layer UV Filter, a backpack & a tripod.
