dual sim phone for 5k

Hi,
I want some good dual sim phone for my dad. Budget is 5k. So ease of usage matters the most. Also would like if it has some decent cam with FM radio and mp3 support. thanks in advance.
 
Types of Dual Sim : GSM+GSM, GSM+CDMA, GSM+(GSM/CDMA)

In the last type you can put either GSM or CDMA card in the slot.

You have many choices in the market. Spice, Karbonn, Fly are just to name a few. Newer entrants are Onida, Videocon. However do not go for chinese phone unless you are sure of the dealer from whom you will buy the phone.

Samsung will cost about 7k for their dual sim (GSM+GSM) phone

I have heard that Spice is launching a 5MP phone with dual sim (GSM+GSM)soon.

In the end it depends on which type of phone you need.

For about 2.2k you can get spice 4580. however it does not come with bluetooth.

Maxx, micromax, karbbon etc. have good & stylish dual sim phones.

Videocon, Onida too in mkt. with Good Specs. though I didn't seen any one using Videocon or Onida handsets.

I'm looking GSM + GSM mobile.

but i read in some site tha karbonn mobiles are going to get banned in India. I dont require high features(like 8 gb expandable and support for internet, ppt html etc) as my dad is going to use it. A 1.3mp or 2mp cam and just support for mp3 and FM radio with 1gb card is more than enough. I donot want too much specs like edge, wi fi etc etc.

But it should be having a good battery,easy to use etc. I do not have much idea about karbonn,fly,spice etc. Are they reliable?
Budget is upto 5k or i can extend to 6k even. I found these mobiles while surfing,
samsung d780, samsung c 5212 and samsung c5130. Any review on any of these.?
 
I think in dual sim market, spice is the best when compared to others and after that comes FLY. Like the phones by spice which hv recently been launched say they come with 15 day standup time etc but i hv not known any near-dear once having these phones so can't give exactly how do they perform in real life.

So whichever phone you buy, pls give a detailed review as how and what u liked in that phone and why and what wrong things u observed in it?
 
I think Micromax is the best brand name in Dual SIM market.It provides alot of phone at an affordable price with very good features.Micromax Q56 is an awesome phone priced below 5K.It is a Dual SIM phone with Swivel QWERTY Keypad and easily fit into your hands.
 
its better to go with the suggestions from what #Emperor has mentioned. Its a safe bet. Samsung has good quality and ease of use.

also i'd like to add the samsung c6112. is also a good model to look at but its a slider design.

All these phones are DUAL SIM ACTIVE, i.e. both the sims' are active all time, If your on a call on sim1 and receive a call on sim2, you would know instantly
