Durable Phone

I work in a construction site and I want a no frills but very hardy mobile. It rains a lot and I end up dropping the mobile a lot, and I talk a lot in a noisy environment.
What are possible options?

3310!! :hap2: hehe, no but seriously, i agree with greenhorn, check out the Nokia 5xxx series, they are designed of rough usage..

5500 all the way,
i dropped it like million of times and it even got wet many times..
hasnt given a problem even once..

or if you want something extra cheap, get a secondhand 5210. a few of my friends had those when we were starting out in college, and most had 3310's. due to the 'special' features of the phones, they were dropped from tables, dunked in water, and what not bcos of all sorts of bets:P. but those phones are still working! just remember to get an authentic nokia skin for them

I know this is silly, but I also suggest the 1100 if you cant get the 5 series.

They are among the most durable phones I have seen......

not that silly... they really are sturdy phones... even you you break them, you can buy a new one ...they're that cheap :ohyeah:

We've got a lecturer here who uses his 1100 as his standby duster

The 5500 fits my requirements but I won't be using most of its features (and I think the price alone would keep it safe from getting dropped into the water :D).I really don't think I am interested in mp3s/camera etc or even a colour display. Is there any phone similar to say the nokia 1110 that is also as hardy as the 5500?

Budget isn't really much of a problem but why pay for features I'd never use?

1100 surely one of the best! Cheap, Simple and Durable.

Duster?

I know a guy who became so superstitious when one day he dropped his phone and it became something like a good luck thing. Later, everyday he makes sure he drops his 1100 on the floor :)

FUNNY? he he

how about anew motorola c139 is also a sturdy mobile along with colour screen a new might be around 2k and also c168 radio moto for around 2.6k

My sis has a c168... its back panel has become sorta loose already. there are many reasons i would recommend the c168. durablity wouldnt be one of them :P. the phone is too thin, it doesnt even feel solid (sis says it feels like a biscuit  )

Lol i was gonna say the same thing. If you can find one, theres nothing to beat it in the price range. It'll be pretty cheap too. Just make sure the panel is original and not a fake one.

My Firs and Second phone Was Moto 118 and Moto C350 both have low level sound, that I can not hear ring if passing throguh Busy street, don't know about latest Moto Phone.
