PC Peripherals DVD benchmark and quality test prob.

Yesterday I got the LG GSA4167B and the following moserbaer media.

Drive Type = DVD Super AllWrite
Disc Type = DVD-ROM (Single Layer)
Disc MID = 46 55 4A 49 46 49 (FUJIFI)
Disc TID = 4C 4D 30 33 00 00 (LM03..)
Nominal Capacity = 4.10GB
Manufacturer Maybe = FUJI Photo Film Co., Ltd.
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 0.0X (Write)

NOw when I am tryng to run the nero disc quality test v4.50 I get the error.. 'error initializing test'.
And when I tried the kprobe2 then i get just the following text..

Now why am I not able to run the tests.. also is the benchmark tool any indication of burn quality? I read somewhere that if there is no spike in the benchmark then the burn is proper. I am attaching the result of 3 diff benchmark of dvds which I burnt at 8X.

lg burners do not support pi/po scanning....

Grrr.... then why did darky not tell me that.. he was the one guiding me and he said that he too has the same writer..
anyway so what should I use for this..

I said i have LG Writer but then i never said i had 4167B,i have 4163B

Anyways Nero CD-DVD Speed works fine and oh yes i forgot to mention that LG lacks PI/PO scanning.

ALthough you could still do testing with Nero.

What testing? The only tests that will work with an LG are the transfer rate tests.
