one more thing.. which dvd shud i opt for?
i have following options
1> benq 1650
2> sony dru820
i want the best writing stuff and i dont like hastle with optical drives
also light scribe is seriously preferred.
shud i wait for benq 1670
do light scribe drives performs poorly?
 
whats the diff between 1655 and 1670?
dvd ram support>
and sony r benq oems?
which one sony or benq? shud i finally go for?

The Benq 16x0 is the normal writer, while the 16x5 are the lightscribe ones.

benq 1650 & sony dru820 do not support lightscribe.

Isnt the Sony DRU-820a a rebadged BenQ 1670? infact just got a 820 few

days back as couldnt find the 1670. So far am really happy with it, burnt a

16X WriteX DVD & a 8X Moser Baer took around 6min & 9min approx with Nero.
 
so whats the diff between these 820a and 1670?.. is it the warranty ? one offers 2 years and another 1??

Stay at Mumbai, got from lamington road for 2950 , think if u get the oem

then will work out to be cheaper than box packed.

^^^I think its better to get in box packed, afaik sometimes oems are not really wat they are said to be.
