Storage Solutions DVD contents not detected

I have samsung ts-h552U DVD writer .
problem is i got 2 movie dvds which are being detected as dvd roms but the contents are not detected ... it shows 0 bytes dvds. my writer does support dvd rom media.

same dvds , their contents get detected by my laptop dvd writer and plays the movies ...

The firmware is also updated to latest one.

Any solutions ?

If it's only movie dvd's then it can be due to region code setting of dvd writer.

both my dvd writers are Region 1 ... then how come one plays and the other one doesnt ?

so anyway to play them using some kind of 3rd party software or any other options i have

They are DVD-ROMs right ?
If you had a friend burn them for you or something, then it may help by upgrading to the lastest firmware.
A while back my laptop refused to read DVD-Rs burned from my PC until I got a firmware upgrade.
