Which is the best DVD to Divx convertor.... in most of the convertors the video and audio does not sync with each other......

how abt DrDivx???

i have divx pro codec... which software can be used to use this codec to convert files?
 
hi.
USe XMPEG with MP3 3.96 lame codec.
It works like a charm.
Dont use inbuild wizard to do so.
When Xmpeg loads, cancel wizard, right click on the open window, click open.
Select the vob or ifo file.
The again right click on open window, click on set plugin option.
Set select the divx as video codec, bitrate, MP3 lame as audio codec.
Click Ok.
Again right click the window and go to options, make sure in audio option you have clicked on process audio.
Thats it. Now right click on the window and select start conversion.
no lag in audio what so ever.
 
For more control over the encoding, try Gordian Knot. Works like a charm and its freeware. It's actually a package of different freeware programs 2 give u more control over the encoding and editing. Note: Not for newbies.
 
Yup gordian knot shud work well. You can also try DVDx which is a gr8 tool for dvd to divx conversion. Also try xvid codec, gives you gr8 quality.
 
well, i have a related prob, so sorry for threadjacking here m8

but the thing is that ive downloaded a DVD rip recently, munt cant seem to find the proper codec for the same :S

tried auto download, but doesnt help, also downloaded the latest version of K-Lite codec pack, still no help, any suggestions?

Use smthng like Gspot codec appliance to find out what codec is needed and then download the same.
 
I use IMTooDVDRipper to convert DVDs to DivX or VCD formats.. its pretty simple to use. All u need to do is select what format u want to conver to and what resulting size u wud prefer and hit the RED button ;)
 
I use Vidomi for encoding.

For this i manually select DivX 3.11 alpha Low Motion codec.I get best quality with it.

Then i find out exact time of the entire DVD [Vobs]
Then with Advance Bitrate calculator,i calculate the exact bitrate to make exact 700 MB files.

It should be noted that to maintain quality the bitrate should not come below 600 kbps.

When i calculate,it generally comes to 1000-1200 kbps bitrate.
