dvd track skipping

i got a dvd player
recently it got wet and stopped working
i got it repaired
now the problem is
when a watch a dvd with a single track say a single movie
it works fine
but i got a dvd with 4 movies in it and when i put it in player
the player plays every movie for about ten minutes
then skips to the begining of the next movie

That's likely a DVD problem. If you bought (I'm assuming its one of those 'recorded' street DVD's) it for cheap, they're either not mastered properly, or the recording sucks plainly (apart from it being very cheap media). If silver DVDs work on your dvd player, there's no reason to assume the DVD player is at fault. Also, you could try one of your computer recorded MP3 CD/DVD to see if it works without skipping.
