Storage Solutions DVD Writer not reading

I have a SONY DRU810A DVD writer which is 6-8 months old. The problem is Windows XP shows the drive i am able to eject using the right key context menu but the DVD wont read the discs when inserted in the drive. Please some one help me

Kindly get it repaired at nearest svc center, some sort of problem with logic card.

tried using magiciso to make iso image from this dvd writer? it may works.
