Planning to buy a DVD writer. Can you guys suggest me a good writer along with its cost. I checked in Anupam and they have a Sony DVD writer for 3600 RS, but not sure on the model no.
 
@Remcie, please try to do a search before posting here. Also please try the Hardware Price Guide - That would help u a lot with any of the components that u need. This would help coz' there will not be same queries over and over again. Hope u got the point. :)

Well, the thing is, LiteOn DVD writers do not give good burns above 8X on most media. And they do not support Overburning on most media.

and the number of errors and failures are more on the LO drives than the Benq 1640.

I have a 1653S. Trust me. It is not as good as the 1640(even though I have not used a 1640 :P )
 
Yup, lightscribe is definitely cool, but there are several disadvantage with it.
First thing is that you need special media for it (which will be quite expensive:( )
Then there is a question on the availability of the media and lastly the lightscribe process is very slow.
