Wonder if i can do tweaks-overclocking stuff for this :) I tried changing firmware to a region free one it works but i loose ability to burn 4x media in 8x...
 
quite a few people had problems with burn quality by burrning 4x media in 8x.. anyone here had similar problems?

^^Overspeeding.. which 4X media are you trying to burn at 8X? Good stuff like TYG01 and YUdenT001 will work, as will Verbatim 4X media. Moser Baer 4X will be marginal at 8X.. YMMV.

No safe config, you'll have to experiment.
 
hmmm.... i'm talking about that feature in 1620 "pro" which let to burn any 4x media in 8x speed. now after the region free firmware i dont have that option in nero anymore :(
 
that feature is what techhead said is called overspeeding and it depends on the media whether it can be written to at higher speeds or not

what media have you been using till now ?
 
^^You CAN'T overspeed RW discs! How on EARTH did you overspeed it earlier? It won't work ever again.. don't ever try it! You'll b0rk your disc AND your burner. Stick to overspeeding only write-once discs!
 
wooo :ashamed: didn't know that i wa testing my new drive with nero and all i know is that i had 8x option [in the dropdown for speed]
