Re: DVDstoredelhi feedback thread.

Got my refund with nearly 650 Rs loss/less :( .

Had to send tons to mails/sms/pms to get to reply and then refund . He wouldn't agree and tried all the tricks to avoid refund .

It was a very painful dealing with the dealer. I would never buy from him again .Beware of this dealer .:@

Re: DVDstoredelhi feedback thread.

How much you have paid and what were seller's terms of the refund? eBay fee is 5-6% of the sale price. Leave appropriate itrader feedback.

I have a similar situation.

Ordered the UMG1831 on Dec 17th, Friday through eBay, got the tracking number the same day but was delivered only on Dec 23rd, Thursday. Tried it immediately and noticed the repeated disconnections and the device getting resetted every 1-2 minutes (Just like the device is being pulled out and connected back).

Notified dvdstoredelhi immediately and he asked me to send it back. I sent it back by DTDC the next day (Dec 24th) and the same was delivered on 28th. He supposedly tested the same modem for many hours and used it for downloading for about 4 days and finally said the modem is working fine according to him. Whereas I had tried it on 3 different machines and it showed the exact same problem. Anyway he finally said that he will send a replacement and it will be shipped by Jan 2rd, Monday

But it was finally shipped on Jan 6th only by DTDC from Bangalore, it was a return from someone who had ordered an extra. Anyway received the modem on Jan 7th and again the same issue further the device did NOT have an IMEI number as well. I had posted the details on his thread and now its a known fact that the recent UMG1831 batch had many defective modems.

I sent back the modem on Jan 10th and it was delivered on Jan 13th. And finally on messaging dvdstoredelhi multiple times got the refund for Rs 2720 yesterday.

So I paid Rs 3000 on Jan 17th and I get a refund of Rs 2720 ( Additional expense of Rs 120 for sending the modem twice ), so effective lose of Rs 400.

He reduced the eBay fee of 6% which I don't mind and is acceptable. But he reduced the shipping cost of Rs 100 from him to me for the first modem as well and did not reimburse the shipping cost for returning the modem twice for an error on the sellers side!

Your Payment is REFUNDED

Amount Refunded Rs 2720/-

Rs 3000 less 6% Ebay Fees Less Rs 100/- spent for Shipping via DTDC Insured.

Nett Amount Refunded : Rs 2720/

This is a case of DOA and the item was returned for no fault of mine and as the seller failed to deliver a working product which imo is 100% sellers fault. I expected a refund of the total amount minus the ebay fee plus the return shipping charges.

Am I wrong in expecting this, if the product was returned due to an issue on my side, or if I wrongly ordered the product, I can understand his terms and I am supposed to bear the shipping charges. But this is a clear clase of DOA and improper testing at sellers side. I made a mistake of purchasing it from him on Dec 17th and today on Jan 17th I neither have a working product nor the full money back and at a loss of Rs 400 due a mistake/error of the seller.

What do you guys think?

I have purchased many items online and few items were DOA or wrong product. The sellers in these cases promptly arranged for replacement and beared the return shipping costs as well, some even arranged for pickup direct from my house. And in one case as I asked for a refund, I got the FULL amount refunded (was returned at their expense).

Further the modem which I had returned first, which he supposedly tested for 4 days, was sold to Freaky and he is facing the exact same issue as me. So much for his strict testing.

Ordered a 2TB Seagate LP drive from ebay, received fast and good packaging.

However warranty shows till Sep 2013, which means I am getting 3 months less warranty, even though its 3 months, for a HDD 3 months is a long time :P

Sent a query to seller through ebay, no response for about 7 days now, have sent a reminder again.

Bought a Huawei UMG1831 3G modem:

Purchase Date: January 04, 2011 (The seller very politely informed me on the phone that he'll ship me as soon as he gets the new stock)

Shipping Date: January 07, 2011 (Yay! Patience paid off.)

Delivered on: January 13, 2011 (Distance of 1000 Kms. from Chandigarh)

I could confidently claim that I received a fresh and untouched piece of modem. I could say so because when I opened the SIM slot lid it looked so new and shiny inside. It's made up of a material which would easily get fingerprints if you touch it. Also, the first two days of usage, The SIM card slot lid was very tight which eventually got lose after some usage. This is enough for me to know that the modem was not a Refub or a used piece.

I have downloaded a few GBs of data in last several days and as much as 4GBs in one instance, I am not facing any heat issues as I am using it with a good signal. I had trouble using another circle SIM card but that is ABSOLUTELY a problem of the network or the SIM card parameters(it disconnected a lot). I am FLAWLESSLY using a 3G SIM of my own circle.

I have put my impressions on the modem and created this thread:

http://www.techenclave.com/broadband-forum/observations-huawei-umg-1831-hi-techenclave-182583.html

I have made several calls to this seller both before and after the purchase of this modem. I found him very helpful and polite. He has a few employees in his shop and while they may not be most technical persons, they were very polite with my shipment queries. I would rather deal with them than most rude shopkeepers at Nehru Place (New Delhi) from where I buy my computer products regularly.

Lastly, thank you Mr. Kapoor for your low prices on the products and it will be a pleasure to buy from your shop again.
If am correct newbies( u have just 5 posts) cannot access dealer markets , then how were you able to access ? . This is fishy .Where are you located ? PM me your phone number .

Errrr... Why would someone would PM u his phone no since u are suspicious  IINM those rules were short lived. Anyone can access market after making the account.
Here is my experience with the seller. I bought a microSD from ebay on Jan9th. The package was shipped only on late evening Jan 14th. The product was dispatched from DTDC center on 15th. So a duration on 5-6 days for shipping a microSDHC :O

Will certainly double check whether he would be able to ship in 1-2 BD after payment is cleared for future deals. I was planning to pick the card from my home town during the weekend. But since the shipment took some time i will have to get it shipped from there or wait till i visit home again :|

same thing with me.. i bought a 1tb hdd form him and received 4-5 days back, i checked its warranty status on seagate site and it's showing warranty upto Nov 2013 so 2.5 months warranty less.. i'm not sure if seagate strictly follow its online warranty or goes by the bills too..??

PS: in the same order, i ordered a sandisk 4gb flash drive but he sent me a sandisk 4gb microsd, i called him and he asked me to send it back and promised me to return the shipping amount, though i didn't send it back and it's been used by me now.. but was satisfied as far as this wrong item was sent..

Got my UMG18310 delivered today. Facing the same disconnection issue like many others. Will send it back to him for a replacement / refund as soon as possible. Please be careful at least with case of UMG1831 modem.

You are getting very hyper ...you want even Rs 600 worth of BSNL recharge back !! I recharged for Rs 4200 and there almost 3 weeks when BSNL had disconnection issues....even I thought it to be a modem issue at 1st but after seeing other Bangalore members confirm the same it was confirmed to be a BSNL side issue. There are lot of budding issues in the netowrk as well these Huawei 3G devices ! I have a Huawei E160G which died after 4 mnths after I bought from ebay India and the seller is nt even present nw ! Huawei modems as such are priced a fraction of modems by Nokia and other vendors but their QC is terrible and we are just facing the heat now :(

You are the only user who had a rough time with the E122 as most of them burned their hands with the UMG 1831. I got 2 X E122 + 4 X UMG 1831 and by the grace of God or sheer luck all of them are working like a charm. Even today afternoon I was getting 5 Mbps speeds :D. I urge all of the Huawei modem buyers to tinker as less as possible with the modems and the software and wait for dvdstoredelhi's latest batch to arrive. I hope dvdstoredelhi also gets these modems tested by a fellow senior TE member so as to testify his claim of all the modems are working fine.

What I observed from past experience--He needs to handle customers inquires bit more politely, including from newbies. Every customer should be treated valued one. The communication skill is key to on-line business and happy customers, should not deteriorate by any mean. Otherwise he is a very good dealer when it comes to quality, description, delivery, packing and significant competitive pricing.

well, i gave the feedback to the dvdstoredelhi today, on ebay.in and i gave one of the feedbacks as neutral point, and guess what..

he has blocked me and i can't order any item from him now.. i was gonna order a ram from him but anyways..

though this is a really good trick to block those who give him a negative/neutral feedback

There are plenty of other dealers and places where you can order RAM . They should just stick with selling DVDs ,so even if ppl are conned, they are at less loss and they will not complain back .You get the drift?

I gave him a neutral for wrong info and no replies to communication, have to check whether he blocked me too!

EDIT:
Transaction Blocked

Unfortunately, this seller has decided that you are not permitted to bid on their listings. You may contact the seller via the Ask Seller Questionsfeature if you want additional details.

Please note: You may not use other eBay accounts to bid on this seller's listings. Doing so may result in your indefinite suspension from eBay.

What a loser! If he can't take positive criticism, why bother being a seller then?

@slash84: That is just silly on his part. But don't you guys communicate with each other before giving a bad/neutral rating?

@hackboy: Why did you give him neutral rating? Any particular reason?

As for your hdd, the warranty listed on the website is always from the date of manufacturing i.e it is the minimum warranty provided by the manufacturer against the said product. Warranty can always be updated against proof of purchase i.e a bill or invoice for the said product with date, price, model and serial no.

Cheers :)

Bought an ASUS router from him. Time to ship did take almost 3 working days which I did not really like but his price as the lowest on ebay and I got a proper VAT bill from him so I am a happy with the overall deal.

Will deal with him again in future. :)

I gave him a neutral for bad communication! How can i communicate with him if he doesn't reply to anything?

@leetwizard, after getting the wrong item, i sent him a message on ebay mentioning about this mistake but got no reply, after that i tried to get a reply from him through his website but that also wasn't attended.. i also mentioned ebay order number so that they can easily rectify their mistake.

now, i wanted to give him a negative rating but went for neutral because of good prices and well-packed shipping..

then i wanted to order corsair ram but he has blocked me now and i think this is really unprofessional behavior from their side..
