So does it? Especially for reading text. And can anyone suggest an online source for the required DL DVI-D male to male cable which i think is required. Correct me if i am wrong. I have sapphire 4670 btw.

Check Sector 18 - The Computer Federate (He had it)

If he doesn't then check Sector 22 market.

And yes the picture quality of DVI is much better than VGA (Atleast thats what Ive noticed on Samsung 940BW, Dell E1909W, Dell E2208W)

Specially the TEXT: On VGA, after you close a full screen app, the text is either bold or light until u press the Auto-Adjust button : no such issues in DVI.

I didnt see any difference in video quality even after changing to DVI. Just that the cable got rid of the annoying message that used to appear on boot.

hey try calling up these dealers, they are most likely to have it.

dvi quality is way better compared to vga........since my monitor support both i am telling u from my personal experience.....

Please let us (me) know which DVI cable you use, DVI-D or DVI-I.

My cousin has a 4850 Gcard and the DVI-D cable did not work. Want to know if the cable is faulty, or if a DVI-I cable is needed. So please post.

:| Hmm, even im waiting for responses to this

i feel for normal computing there is hardly any difference. but for videos, its marginally better.....in short...nothing gr8. but still better to get DVI cable.

i use dvi + 2233sw at office and 2233sw + vga at home, both for reading/work n movie watching, INHO i think thrs hardly any difference in the picture quality, if thrs any its either not visible to the eyes or not noticeable. technically speaking dvi has its advantages as it processes a digital signal , but in case of these thrs hardly any difference,so unless n until u have a free vga cable lying around u can use it or else if you are making a fresh purchase, go for dvi on the safer side

To be very honest : Connect same LCD with same mobo using VGA and DVI cables, watch the same movie same scene, read the same word doc with different cables, u will get the answer.
