8500gt -
8600gt -
8600gts -
8800gts -
8800gtx -

please mention the brands too which are worth to buy. right now im thinking of getting the galaxy 8600gt OC. how good is the 8600gts normal and the OC one with the prices, dont think i can bother with the prices of the 8800 series for now but i guess should help others. please keep updating this thread throughout. cheers

Same prices as they were, they dont fall so easily

8500gt - 5k

8600gt - 7.2k

8600gts - 10k

8800gts - 18k

8800gtx - 32k

how good is the 8600gts compared to the 8600gt im talking about both OC versions. also if i get 2 of 8600gt and sli board will it make a good diff and can compare to 8800gts 320mb one or not. also will one 8600gt or gts version be suffice for nfs pro street and new GTA thanks

i would recommend a single 8800gts over a 86Gt sli setup....a 8600Gt is a better buy than a 8600gts , most guys here would say that........

Better in terms of price to performance ratio yes.

and yes a 8800GTS will be better then SLI'd 8600GT although this isnt a bad idea at all considering the 8600GT's are cheap these days. Performance should be more or less the same, but you have to deal with

a. more power

b. more heat

in a SLI setup which makes SLI'in low end cards not so lucrative.

thanks deepak u seem to be helping out a lot. on finalizing am gonna take ur advise in a week or so hope u dont mind till then
if i get a 8800gts from uk right now will it be able to play nfs pro street and new GTA properply or will all games in future definately need 512VRAM please help i have to order latest by the 14 july this month so need advise.

the 8800gts is enough for u to last atleast till the 9 series cards come out as for now the 8800gts beats the crap out of the ATI Xsearies cards
i'de suggest go for the 8800 even the 320mb card is enough if ur gona play at low resolution if not go for the 640mb
