Day One of E3 is over, let’s see what it brought to the gaming world!
1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Release Date: November 13, 2012
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Treyarch
Time to return to Black Ops, the next installment in the Call of Duty Series (this is COD: 9 I believe). Treyarch promises to wow us all again this year, as every Call of Duty installment has done in the past. Expect sizzling scripted destruction and combat, and new level of graphics, with the PC version having a dedicated development team, instead of being a mere port, complete with DX11 support and the works. About time, I say.
2. Tomb Raider
Release Date: March 5, 2013
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Crystal Dynamics
A new Tomb Raider, complete with destructible environments, beautiful graphics, great physics engine (towards the end of the video), and undoubtedly an Uncharted-influenced game-style, is set to blow your minds (and hearts, she is gorgeous) away next year with a new story line, new adventure, and much much more!
3. Resident Evil 6
Release Date: November 20, 2012
Platforms: X360, PS3
Developer: CAPCOM
The next installment in the horror, survival series, Resident Evil 6 aims to bring more of the goodies in Resident Evil 6, but with more evil! The quick-time events have been revamped, which was introduced in RE5. The X360 gameplay video is smooth for most parts, but with jitters here and there. Capcom should have these issues ironed out by launch time. Meanwhile, PC as a platform for release, remains uncertain.
4. Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Release Date: Q2 2013
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Ubisoft
<font color="#000000" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif"><span style="line-height: 19px;">
Ubisoft is back with the next installment in the Splinter Cell series, promising more stealth techniques and awes to keep us busy. However, the gameplay trailer isn’t that convincing.
5. Devil May Cry
Release Date: January 15, 2013
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC(at a later date)
Developer: CAPCOM
<font color="#000000" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif"><span style="line-height: 19px;">
CAPCOM is bringing a new Devil May Cry title next year in what may very rightly be called, a reboot for the series. This time, Devil May Cry is trying to lose it’s Mature title and address to a younger age group of gamers, which is very apparent in the new looks of Dante. Well, as long as the core gameplay remains faithful, what have we to complain?
6. Dead Space 3
Release Date: February 2013
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Visceral Games
<font color="#000000"><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif"><span style="line-height: 19px;">
Release Date: February 2013
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Crytek
Return to New York, which has now become an urban jungle (remember Crysis 1? We have jungles again). Crysis 3 promises to deliver outstanding graphics and enhanced gameplay (check out the bow). Using the award-winning Cry Engine 3, Crytek aims to push current generation consoles to it’s limit, as well as push extreme graphics on the PC, with DX11 and a whole lotta features available at launch (unlike the Crysis 2 PC fiasco).
8. Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Release Date: October 30, 2012
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Criterion Games
Release Date: October 30, 2012

Gameplay:
Ubisoft is finally going to release the 3rd and final installment (not including Spin-offs like Brotherhood and Revelations) in the amazing Assassin’s Creed franchise. In 2007, Assassin’s Creed took everyone by surprise, a surprise everybody loved. Never before seen concept, amazing gameplay and combat, engaging story line, and the ability to climb buildings? And now, this time, set in the Liberation War in America, Assassin’s Creed comes back to wow us again!
10. Far Cry 3

Set in an island full of enemies (and jungles), Far Cry 3 is a step back into Far Cry 1, making it somewhat of a mix, drawing elements from Crysis 1 (except the Nano-suit…and the aliens). With gorgeous graphics, well-balanced gameplay, this is one hot title we are looking forward to.
11. Watch Dogs
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Ubisoft
Ubisoft seems to be on a roll this year, with soo many exciting titles under it’s belt, and right after those, a new IP. Watch Dogs is an interesting new IP. A third-person adventure genre game, ubisoft seems to be using a new version of the Anvil Engine, which supports those huge outdoor environments, and did I mention, stunning graphics?
12. Star Wars 1313
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: X360, PS3, PC
Developer: Lucas Arts
It is true that the previous Star Wars titles have been somewhat of a.. disappointment. However, this new title hopes to change just that. One thing that you will instantly notice is the GORGEOUS graphics, the footage being in-game running on a PC (using an nVidia card). Exciting!

“Dead Space 3 will deliver action and horror on a scale that far exceeds anything we’ve done before. The game will range from the depths of space and tight, indoor corridors to a harsh new planet with explorable environments that offer new challenges. For fans that love playing alone in the dark, they still can have the classic Dead Space experience that makes the franchise so unique. Likewise, players that want to share that immersive and intense experience with a friend now have that option thanks to the addition of co-op. Either way, the action is intense, the adventure is breathtaking, and the thrills are unforgettable.â€

â€Think of it as Assassin’s Creed meets Blade Runner meets Sleeping Dogs meets GTA IV. But you see, it’s not about the game’s visuals that we are so excited – which by the way look phenomenal for current generation platforms. Watch Dogs has already well polished physics, and some effects are similar to the ones found in PhysX titles. Not only that, but the game’s world feels alive, something that is really important in games with big cities.†– dsogaming.com
Set in the future, this is one game to definitely look out for next year.
