I am a + member too but i dont intend to keep on renewing my subscription every time. As for the DRM is concerned (i mean the online play) I think it has nothing much to do with the hardware (which will be bit a difficult to change now). Yes they might have that in their mind from the beginning seeing the features of 360.But that really is not a good idea to implement. Maybe good for 360 users but i am totally against it. When i am purchasing a game then why should i pay again to access its another feature. Its not a dlc nor some extra stuff its just an integrated feature which comes with the game. Then why pay approx 400rs again for it? That too every month.

You cannot entitle the multiplayer function as a feature in the true sense. In that case, its not great that you are paying for the internet to access that feature as well.
You will basically get everything you buy the game for and that would work. Another thing is, you are not paying plus for only the multiplayer option are you? You also get a ton of stuff more with it and if people have to let 4$ out of the pocket every month to improve the online platform of ps3 then i am game.

New features come at a cost and the great thing is its not much to let go in sony.

I cancelled my XBLA subscription this year because it was not worth 2500/-. The Apps and Services offered are not relevant or are already present on other platforms like TV.

I'll bat for PS+ any day because it made my PS3 the primary game machine even though I liked Xbox's controllers, UI and chat features.

PS+ absolutely trumped XBLA in terms of gaming content. 20-25 AAA games for the price of one every year and the library keeps building on.

PSN performance, downtime and security are issues for me hopefully those will be fixed specially after they charge for it. E.g. MK9 online issues.

I bought the ps3 extremely late in its life cycle when Uncharted 3 came out. Don't see myself buying PS4 until the big games come out or ridiculously low pricing.

No offence but is it not great that you are paying electricity bill also to boot up the system?

Thats what i specifically mentioned what if i DONT want any other features. i only want multiplayer. Then why are you forcing us to pay.

Leave it how come no one mentioned this http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/10/e3-2013-new-xbox-360-model-revealed

More super news regarding Xbox One's launch dates.

If you thought November 2013 was too long to wait, bear a thought for Asian gamers who will apparently have to wait those six months, plus an additional twelve, to pick up their Xbox One. According to Alan Bowman, Microsoft's Regional VP for Sales and Marketing in Asia, the new console will launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and India around late 2014. (Note the lack of Japan on that list, we're still checking with Microsoft on that.) These are all regions that have been marked as gaming high-growth areas by Microsoft -- the VP added that the Xbox 360 became the top-selling console in Asia this year. The company's also pointed to its next-generation Kinect sensor, one that will work in "dramatically reduced" room spaces and, according Bowman, will be better attuned to Asian gamers who might not have living room space in their homes.

Apparently DRM will be in the hands of developers, they can enforce it.

Not first party or second party but third party developers so exclusive games should DRM free.

Also online multiplayer is service based chargeable Offline multiplayer is not chargeable.

Though I have never owned a console I am with quan chi, why should i pay extra for multiplayer when i already payed 60$ for a game. Those 60$ included my rights for updates, support and multiplayer. I don't wanna pay for any of those so called extra free features or games which i don't e1 want.

And i don't think valve and origin will go this way. Value is one of those companies who really cares about their fans so they won't do something like this.
origin =EA bullshit can do anything, but if they try do pull off a stunt like that, they are dead we know that, they know that

Nice!

I can't understand why MS still bundles that power brick separately instead of integrating it within the console. And the X360 brick wasn't even universally compatible.
