Is Intel making a strong push for the low end dual core market?

Digitimes reports on some potential changes in the Intel lineup:

In August::

E2140 production ends
E2160 drops to $74 from $84
E2180 indruced at $84 (2.0GHz, 1MB L2)
In October:

E4300 production ends
E4400 production ends
E4500 drops to $113
E4600 introduced at $133 (2.4GHz, 2MB L2)
I love how the price of processing power keeps falling.

Considering chips off the shelf are reaching ~3 Ghz at stock volts, this isnt much of a surprise
