E5700 VS P4630 3.0 GHz

Hi guys,will there be any difference in performance if i upgrade from my p4 630 to e5700 dual core 3ghz?:S i am having p5kpl am ps mobo and 2 gb transcend ddr2 800 memory.

it is definitely worth the upgrade. you are comparing a single core to dual core.

could not finad an exact comparision the below links is for P4 660 vs E5200

660 is better than 630 and 5200 is slower than 5700.. but still 5200 pawns the 660

The power consumption of E5700 will be much lesser. It has a TDP of 65W (though actual is lesser) while 630 is 84W. As you can imagine, it will be a huge upgrade in terms of performance.
