Get yourself Either E8400 Or X3 720.

I have seen people having Quad core but then they dont use the full capability of the processor,Usually people buy a quad and use it for downloading and gaming and for that one dont need a Quad any decent Dual core is more then enough for now.For gaming and other normal stuff Decent Dual core is the way to go.

OK then I think I'll go for E8400 :ohyeah:
Please suggest a good motherboard.....
I'll be using either a zotac gts250 amp or a hd4850....:hap2:

zotac gts250 amp i s always better than hd4850

my opinion---> use onboard graphics for 1 or 2 months and grab a dx11 card....

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard

ASUS P5Q

The motherboards you are suggesting are very pricey...
I need something around Rs.5,000 ....

Is zotac gts250 amp better than hd4870 too??

HD 4870 will smoke GTS 250. They are in different leagues. You can compare GTS 250 to a HD 4850.

gts 250 is almost equal to 4870...in some games gts 250 is better than 4870...the difference is very small...so don't worry ...go for gts 250

lol

do some research first:bleh:

4870 actually competes with GTX 260 and falls slightly slower than the GTX. Maybe in games with Physx, GTS 250 competes with 4870.

i own an 8800 GT[same as 9800GT] and 4870. Hell of a difference b/w both.

for eg: 8800GT 3D M 06 score: 10.2k

4870 3DM 06: 18.5k

ok ...4870 is better than gts250

lol

4870>gts250>4850

u can buy this one

Sapphire HD 4870 512MB DDR5 ---> 8.8k
