EA To Increase PC Games Prices in India

EA might be looking to re-price PC games in India closer to the prices it charges in the rest of the world. The price points mentioned to us were Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,299.

Yeah EA, I bet you also give your employees in India the same salary as the rest of the world.

EA games are already at a higher price point than the rest. If they make it 2.5k - 3.5k we might as well as get them from Steam, Amazon, GMG or GG. They often have cool preorder bonuses. But yes, seeing the way our rupee is going, we can't expect the Rs. 999 price point for long.

Really stupid pricing by EA, looks like like they want to give a competition to activision for pricing games as high as possible.

Are these games still imported or manufactured in India? The Last of Us copy I bought is made in India, no reason to increase the price I guess.

Console game were always imported.

Sony has just started a BluRay production factory in India which it now uses to manufacture Sony first party titles, last of us is the first copy to be made here, hence your copy had a made in India mark,

PC game disc were always made locally here that is why you had games on PC at RS 499-999 when their console counterparts launched at Rs 2999

Yes, noticed that last week. Most of the new games are now Rs 1499, and not only EA games.
