Earphones: Cx 300 for Rs. 1500! (Fake or good deal?)

Hi there people,

Have been a lurker on TE for a while now. Its fun getting all that information from the various threads.
Anyways, I ordered a creative zen vision w 30 Gb from amazon.com. Got it for 305$ including shipping to a friends address in california and the compactflash adapter for it so can read memory cards too :D (260$+40$). Will get it in 2-3 days..... :hap2:

Anyways, I wanted to get a decent pair of portable earphones for it ( <2k though :) ). The sony X200 and philips 805 are out cos they are too big. Looked all over Pune for the creative EP-630 which seemed to be the best bet but no sightings reported :@ !!!!!

Meanwhile, today i came across a shop on MG Road here (a decently expensive area here, not cheap). The guy offered me a Senneiser (Hope the spellings right!) CX300 for Rs. 1500 only!!!
Now i know its a very good earphone....but at this price???? Isnt it too cheap? Have been looking around on the net also and amazon and various sites list it for like 50 $ (~ 2k)

The earphones were in proper packaging and all.....
So what do you think? Original or fake?????

How much are these available for locally? And from outside too...? Cos if these are real then i do wanna grab them quickly :ohyeah: But then again, dont wanna spend 1500 if they turn out to be fake.

@@greenhorn: No idea about the jack: just saw packed piece and did some research on the net after i got back home. The original is 90 Degree silver plated jack, rite? thx for the link..will probably go again tomorrow for a closer look.

@@memories_dv: Definitely the CX, cos it was the in-ear type. I checked the official site, MX are earbuds, not in-ear, rite?

So how much are these in India? Anyone know? If close to this price then they could be real. I am hoping despeartely they are. ;)
 
afaik the price is arnd 3k or so, and not 1500. u will at most get a mx 550 in that price, mine costed me 1800
 
^ MX are in-ear, CX are canal phones ;)

What you probably saw is the MX300 for 1.5k which is very expensive.

You'll get the MX550 for about 1.5k, which is a great deal !

i think there was some confusion. Like i mentioned, the packaging said cx300! I think i ll go to the shop again today and try to check if its not fake. Might just buy it n take the risk f hv looks real. Any suggestions welcome.
