Review eBay + FedEx - Product delivery trouble

Hi Folks,

On 13th I bought Transcend 2.5" HDD Casing from super.shopper.24x7 using PaisaPay. Seller shipped it through FedEx. Current status of this tracking says Delivered and received by Security/Guard - .Kumar. But there is not any security guard in my building nor I have received it.

Following is tracking history available at FedEx

Nov 15, 2012 19:16 - Picked up - GURGAON IN
Nov 15, 2012 21:21 - Left FedEx origin facility - GURGAON IN
Nov 16, 2012 03:42 - In transit - NEW DELHI IN
Nov 17, 2012 09:55 - In transit - GUWAHATI IN
Nov 17, 2012 13:14 - On FedEx vehicle for delivery - HYDERABAD IN
Nov 17, 2012 15:50 - Delivered - Dombivli East IN

How on the earth is it possible to reach from Hyderabad, Andhrapradesh to Dombivli - Mumbai, Maharashtra in flat 2 hours 36 minutes that too on vehicle ? I called up FedEx and they have provided me a complaint number. Update on this number is going to be provided by them on Monday. :-(

Also in eBay its already marked that I have received the item. I mailed seller but on no reply I tried to contact seller but person is not picking up phone. I tried to contact eBay. They said you can raise a claim on 20th.

Anything more do I need to do as a vigilant step ?
 
paisapay has a buyer protection right.

There is a deadline by which you should receive the product and if not received then you specifically mention that after the due date and then there is some process I am not sure of.

But first i think you should contack fedex repeatedly regarding the same.
 
Yeah there is a process. Once I have got refund for item not shipped. But this one is ridiculous. I have already contacted FedEx twice in last 2 & Half hours. Lets see what happens

if its shipped by fedex its automatically updated in paisapay as delivered
 
^ Delivered is fine. but you have a option to specify if you have received or not after the due date.

TEbay said you can raise a claim on 20th. It is this they are talking about mostly.

Yeah if one does not receive item after 7 days s/he can raise dispute. But one of the link given by @Arjun really scared me as its in same fashion. FedEx tracking activity is in same fashion.

eBay launched a program called powership... Now a days most of the sellers were using the same.. eBay had tie up with aramex, blue dart, fedex... and whenever the seller ready to ship, ebay will arrange any one of these courier to pickup from seller. Once the shipment delivered, these information automatically updated in ebay and ebay closes the transaction saying item received. All these process were automated!

Ah..nice, so in case I am shipping say a mobile to someone, would ebay arrange a pickup from my place at normal price? ( say 200 bucks for phone) ...cause that will be really good.

And yes, the rates are Rs 40 per 0.5kg plux taxes and packing material fee of Rs 2 or so, this includes insurance as well. :)

thats good news than.. can you please share your experience on powership? I see lot of ebay sellers complaining on that, especially delay in pickup.. in some cases pickup takes 5 days and also fedex is asking original invoice for the shipments... Any thoughts on this?

^ Well, I just started PowerShip and I sent just one package through PowerShip till now. Delays are there in pickups especially for people selling stuff occasionally, but I guess once you have an understanding with the logistic partner, you can directly call them for the pickup etc.
Right now, I am facing delay in pickup as I had to change my pickup address, I hope it gets sorted out soon.

About invoice, I guess it depends on the branch and courier, last time I sent, they accepted it with just the eBay order statements and other documents which can be printed from ebay itself.
 
Just was able to talk to seller. As per his words its eBay logistics and he have also instructed eBay regarding this. For which he got a reply from eBay saying they (eBay) will find it out with FedEx as they (eBay) suspect duplicate AWB numbers might have been generated as in 1 number for 2 parcels. He also mentioned about same incidences happened couple of months back. He have also assured about money and product. Feeling bit relieved.

But how goof up like this an happen in big companies like FedEx ? :23:
