It matters bro for some of the models...

HTC android bad esn can`t be repaired without CDMA workshp (paid version)

Even 8330m (MEID based ) can`t be done..

I have tried both of them...they are hard to crack in some of cases,,,,

Who told 8330m can't be done? I am using Sprint 8330m on Reliance right now. I have just repaired MEID of Verizon 8330...I have disabled the MEID and using it in ESN mode...look on net man...it's there...and yes...there are some devices whose ESN/MEID can't be repaired...as of now both 8830 and 8330 can be repaired and used on Indian network...

Scroll down and it's mentioned that it comes in lose packaging.

If you want it with warranty then the 8GB ones are available with Pristine Note on ebay.com . If warranty is not a big issue look for the cheapest 4/8GB Fuze retail pack on eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices or Amazon and get it via Global Easy Buy or KMD respectively.

It sure may be a good price but wont a 2GB clip + (i bought from KMD go for 2000) and a 8GB micro SD for around 800 rupees make it a 10GB player costing less than 3k ??

Asking because i have this combination.
 
It's more cost effective, but your battery life takes a considerable hit. If you're someone who isn't always travelling the 2GB Player + card is a great option.

^^ true.. For me 8GB is not enough. I am having another 8G which I am going to add. In addition the battery life
