ebay queries, please help

Hi all !

I am new to ebay and now about to make some purchases from ebay.co.uk. [It's not OSF :bleh: ]

Please answer me these
- I have a Karnataka Bank Debit Card and Basic Paypal account. Can I buy from ebay.co.uk ? Or I need a credit card ? [I already have aramex account]
- The seller is shipping to worldwide. In ebay, when I press buy it now, the total amount shows 2000GBP. Is it the charge including shipping to my door ? also what about customs ? when I got to pay it ?
for the record he has mentioned "Free P&P - Express Int'l Postage"

-Now here's the important question : Say I get a damaged item or not satisfied with it, if I return it, do I get full refund ? Is it any headache process in it ?

All you need is balance in paypal to buy from ebay.co.uk, DEBIT card wont work with ebay.co.uk or PAYPAL for payment.(ARAMEX Wont work here directly)

Amount is shown higher bcoz its expedited shipping calc by ebay i guess thats hwy its too huge, also you need to pay entire amount that is shown on ebay at time of payment not when u recv it. (free P&P is for his country i.e Romania only)

In case u recv damaged item then you either get refund from seller when u send hims pics descripting damage or seller might ask to send item back for refund in this case be ready to shell out huge shipping amt for sending item back.
 
I bought some item from Singapore and paid through Debit card+Paypal.

Please look into shipping"tab" of the ebay listing that indeed seller ships to worldwide and India is not on exception list.

At the end of the day you need to assume some risk.
 
Check the sellers refund policy, if it says that refund is accepted internationally as well, read between the lines as well if there is any other T&C. If you use Aramex ShopnShip then they will do the customs work for you.

He is ready to ship to India, so which method I have to use for cheaper, aramex or his shipping ?

And one more query - say if I never get what I purchased, then ? Like paisapay, will the money with held by ebay or seller have to refund back to ebay, then to me ?

Yes you would need a credit card.

Aramex would be better since it will handle the customs.

Until you confirm the receipt of the product, the money will be with Ebay. Once you confirm the receipt of the product, Ebay will transfer the money to the seller after deducting Ebay charges.

It doesn't really work that way. The seller gets the entire amount in his PayPal account immediately after payment. EBay doesn't hold the funds and there is no option to confirm receipt.

If there is any problem with the transaction you can open a dispute within 45 days of purchase and resolve the matter with the seller.
