Ebay USA, Made a Mistake. What can be done now?

I would suggest you to just calm down and wait for 7 days to get over. Then you can raise a dispute as he has not shipped the item. Also, ebay might refund back your money as the seller has not provided the shipping info, etc.

Just wait for few days until eBay allows you to open a dispute and once the dispute is open PayPal will look into the issue and since he hasn't provided shipping details you will get the money back. eBay requires you to ship an actual tangible item for the transaction to complete, which he hasn't done.

From the above, my understanding is that you need to do the above steps after you have received the item. Moreover the seller seems to be new to eBay as a seller as he has received just one feedback as a seller. So if the seller is not at all cooperating as you mentioned, stop the communication and open a dispute when you can.

And what is the exact error message regarding your eBay account? Did you receive any emails from eBay?
 
I have completely stopped communicating with outside ebay. And i've been contacting him through ebay only. I just used the e-mails to check the condition of the phone before the purchase, and to ask him for a refund after the purchase. And this was only till around 3 hours after the purchase. Apart from that all the communication is been going on at ebay itself.

The message appears just after the login screen., it says Some activity has been noticed with your account and you cannot list an item until we verify the same. To check,verify and help go to your messages.

But in messages i cannot see anything from ebay. Dont know why.

There has been no reply from the seller since i asked him to keep some and refund the rest.

No, it is not like that i guess. Communication has been going on with over ebay even after getting that warning message.
 
Wondering why did you bid for this piece.. this is 9 months old. You'd have got better deal for $200 for sure. Anyway let's hope he returns your money..
 
He has returned the money. But refunded only $199. He said that paypal and ebay both charged him a sum. So earlier he refunded only 174$ back. I know he was faking that. On my further messages to him, he was was ready to pay me $20 ck. He just wouldnt listen to me that he should return me the complete amount. Sent me a transaction cancellation request instead. To which i denied as it was to be cancelled only if if i havent paid for the item or the seller has refunded my whole amount. Neither was the case.

Upon further messaging and all, he was ready to refund 25USD more then.

This all happened yesterday. 10USD are still left with him. But something is better than nothing. Atleast i got 199$ back.

I know, i realised this later on after landing into this mess. :) Lesson learnt.

Hehe, just kidding. :D I am glad you were able to recover most of the amount. Sucks to be in such a situation I know, but once the battle is won there is nothing to feel sad about.

I bet despite the seller being soo rude to you, You must be praying for his second sale to get through! I just hope the other lone bidder wasn't another prey to the seller, like you :P

UPDATE: I can see, the seller has relisted the item and clearly understand that i cant buy this. But I dont why he is too stubborn about all this, and wants me to leave a positive feedback to him first. I just cant get why is he not refunding!? Refunding shouldnt be a problem i guess. Dont know what does he want! :(

dude paypal can help you out. you can retrct your transaction if it is not to late without him being involved.

yaa now i know why... i am happy for you. I read from the starting like reading a book. But i guess you should still leave him a positive feedback cause he is right from his part. But what i dont understand is he why did he not give your refund. Human error occurs and you are not any robot. So give him neutral feedback. And congrtz and now get the atrix!!!
 
thanks brother. I promised him a positive feedback for refunding me my amount, which i left when he did so. He was very rude throughout and always pretended that it was his money i was asking for. Anyway, all's well that ends well. I am happy that i was able to recover most of what i had lost. And, regarding the atrix part. No need for one as of now, i am very satisfied with my Captivate.
