Hi all,
First of all point all u'r browsers to Elephants Dream which walks u with what these guys have been working on. Then if the site has whetted u'r appetite for the movie quite a bit u can catch a low resolution one from youtube
Of course if u guys are waiting for a slightly better resolution then wait for the orange guys to officially make it available for download. The idea behind it were to showcase blender strengths while at the same time make a nice, funny story.

have downloded it courtesy of 'torrentspy' ;) but will watch ti in full 1080p glory on my near future 2407..
 
There are going to be lot of alternatives & derivatives of this pretty soon. The portugese & the germans are using whole lot of stuff & making spin-offs (actually spoofs) of this. Would they be in their own language or do they get translated back to English. There are streaming as downloadable documentary of how they went about doing the thing, pre-production meetings. There is also a version where people can dub their own voice (a la karoke). One can also download pretty detailed png's of the whole picture (a .torrent) so all in all cool for everybody around. The best part it's all under an attribution license so the creative types can use the assets, make a spoof or whatever they want, make it commercial or non-commercial but remember to attribute them & that is a very cool thing :) Lots of stuff from the movie on YouTube

I've been hearing about this for some time now, but the final images are amazing!

don't worry, just pulling ur leg. Anyway here's a re-mixed version of things as I had said above, here's Numa-Numa for u . The great thing is the Elephant's dream video footage is mixed with the song/track & all due possible due to creative commons. :)
 
Nope. My computer was conked out, and I wouldn't have been able to use the night time unlimited connection. Will go to the US and dld this.
