Storage Solutions empty dvd and cd probs

hi members have benq1640 dvd writer(firmware-bshb) was working fine till now but now a new probs when i insert a empty dvd/r/rw or cd or i am not able to access it when i click the icon in explorer i get this msg f:/ is not accessible,incorrect function but burnt dvds or vcds work fine even dvd indentifier indentifies the empty dvd/r/rw plz help :huh:

hi members have got slysoft anydvd installed it shows no disk is present plz help soon need to burn some matter thanks

hi members plz help soon reinstalled the drive but still no luck it will burn cd/r but when i use a dvd/r/rw it wont work alcohol shows intialising device
 
try this, right-click on the drive - properties - recording tab and then check/tick the "Enable CD Recording On This Drive" box, reboot.

or uninstall the writer from device manager & reboot.

or try using the inbulit xp burning software.

or uninstall all cd burning software & reinstall & try.
