I don't understand why this hulla.. fact was we lost in Pakistan the test series. Just cos one guy has now got a serious ego prob(read mr greg) doesn't mean he has his own way does it?
And that too in test cricket the lame argument of getting in kids? young blood? how lame can we get now.. err graham gooch, steve waugh.. i doubt they would have ever played around if these bunch of jokers had been selectors..

this is ridiculous..
first select ganguly for 2 tests against sri lanka. he doesn;t get to bat in 1st test; gets to bat in second test; impressive scores and dropped for the third. nice reward :ohyeah:
gets selected for pakistan tour. doesn;t get to bat in 1st test; dropped for 2nd test; selected for third test; impressive scores again when the whole indian team (except yuvraj) failed. guess wat..he gets even bigger reward..dropped for 1st test against england :rofl:
now its very clear...some kinda politics is going on within bcci selection commitee; else no one can justify the actions on their part! poor ganguly..he shud have announced his retirement before this seesaw game started. i feel for the most successful captain in indian cricket history.

anyway more has forgotten his own record.. frankly the selection team should be fired.. ge people with some credibility and history in cricket and then let them take decisions..

somehow ganguly should really kick himself also.. its he who bought this idiot as coach. lol
 
For god knows what reason they're not even letting ganguly be a mid-carder. his captainy was still the best even if it was on a downfall since the last year.
But i guess, its his ODI record recently. If it was any other regualar, he would've been long forgotten by now.

Michael Keaton > Christian Bale as Batman and Nicholsan played the best Joker anyone can in holly.

This is pathetic. I have made my views clear before abt this. I hate Greg. I think he may be a good coach. But his arrogance is too much.

It was said that during the Pak tour, Ganguly tried to make some approaches to Greg but was rebuffed. Is that fair??

well this is india and we are not australians..its cos of their very attitude that aussies are hated also.. it goes both ways..

He told them to give it back to the Aussies the way the Aussie spectators treated the SA team in Aus. MAking racial slurs and all that.

I hope and pray Aus gets ragged royally and also lose in SA

Well, i have no complaints against Greg...there has been a lot of talk about his being arrogant and strict...well, if it does good for the team's performance, so be it..these guys need to come out of their larger than life characters and actually play.There was a time when all of them were busier off the field rather than on it doing those million bucks commercials. As a result, their performance on the field reached a point of mediocrity..and the lesser said about ganguly the better. It is a lesson..that even if its a captain, non performers will not be tolerated in the team.

Look at sachin..there was a lot of talk in the beginning of the series that his performance is going down and that he needs to do something or else bear the brunt. And you can see the result. He played very well in the series save for a duck..

Thanks to Greg,now for the fear of being sacked if not performing, these very guys are doing their level best to maintain a position in the team.

ITs quite true, in india, 'Laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahin maante..' :P
 
regardin ausies..they r strict with their own players too...they made waugh bros retired.......now they told mcgrath....if u dont play domestic level matches then 4 get abt your selection for national team.......
also we know gilchrist told warne need to prove himself b4 earning place in the side during ban......

but yup the racial thing....that suxs big time........also all knows....when their own players cant play a bowler they refer it as chucker...whereas the biggest chucker breet lee is in there side........

regardin greg.....i m thinking will the indian team will kick his A$$ if we didnt win the worldcup.........????
 
ganguly should have been in the first test match..........but i just get angry when tht stupid sidhu says he should be in the ODIs.......we need good fielders and he is one of the worst fielders after Zaheer and Laxman......
 
I really admire greg and the way he has transformed the team and the attitude of the guys....i mean Ganguly did get 30-40 runs In the 3rd test,but how many of you think that he will last for long against quality pace attack....? look at what greg has done to the footwork and technique of yuvraj, to the approach of tendulkar.... to the mindset of the team......to the way they handle pressure situations......and ganguly ,as captain was reluctant to any changes.....he was some sort of a roadblock, so it's natural to get pissed off......... by the way his logic of bringing in new talent cant be countered, if one wants to think with an open mind.
 
i think all this because of too much ego.
And i can't say much about greg he seems to be very open about whatever he does and which is also the reason for the earlier greg- ganguly lafda. But some of the decisions made by the selectors indeed was good. I'm not sure why we have to rely on the older players, the last one day proved it.
 
nah dada has a lot inside to give india afterall hes the best indian captain :) so far and i'm his close relative ;)

Bro, that is not a valid enough reason for him to be in the team..and he may no more be the best captain..:hap5:
Rahul has proved that he can handle pressure very well and still bat like 'the wall'....a captain can only get respect from other players if he himself performs well on the field rather than ordering others to perform and sit like a duck himself...:@

excuse me.. we will judge him not in 6 months but in years. Sourav was exceptional over a long period not in months.

And test cricket has got nothing to do with youth but with experience and who can handle it best. Either way, after 2 tests, ganguly doesn't deserve the boot. he could have been never selected or if he was shouldn't have been booted
