Error while transferring file

OS : Windows 7 64 bit

Router : Asus RT N13U Router (DD WRT)

I want to transfer downloaded files from USB pen drive (using for downloading) to hard disk...

But I am getting error :

The file name you specified is not valid too long..Specify a different file name

Can't able to rename...same error

try to rename the file in usb drive from command prompt. then copy to the hdd.

What path should I add ?

I open the USB folder using \\192.168.1.1 in run command...

is the usb formatted in ext or fat32 format? cant you just disconnect it from the router, connect it to your machine and copy? sometimes these errors crop up due to long copy paths. ex copying from network location to 2-3 folders deep inside a hdd.

try this: just copy to root of your c drive and see if it works.

Disconnect pen drive from the router..Connect it to PC...Copy the files...

To rename unrenamable files, use Unlocker. You may have to do a reboot to rename some files, but it always works.
