Evdo bsnl comes to chennnai

hey guys atlast chennai gets some bsnl love they are starting there evdo coverage here the modem cost is 3.5k and unlimited usage for 699rs

so how good is bsnl evdo will i get 2.1mbps properly?? and also one more thing can it be directly connected to a ps3 for online gaming ?

^^^Latency would be very high...so are packet loss and jitters...to put it simple..you can't do online gaming in wireless connections...

Yes it wont work directly with PS3. You can use something like this

eBay India: BSNL EVDO ROUTER - EVDO USB internet card to WiFi (item 110474444407 end time 26-Jan-2010 23:13:44 IST)

I am using the same router and it works fine.

You can place it at a location where you get good signal.

Just saw the price in Spencers,Chennai. Modem costs 2.5k and Rs.550 per month for unlimited :hap2:
