Triple BIOS

Board has a 12+2 phase power design, and comes with support for LGA 1156 processors, four DDR3 memory slots and three PCI-Express x16 slots for SLI or CrossFireX multi-GPU setups.

The overclocking-craving motherboard offers both LGA 1156 and LGA 775 mounting holes so people can use an 'older' CPU cooler, it boasts six SATA 3.0 ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, triple BIOS, a debug LED, one flash memory slot that may end up being removed, and Power, Reset, and Clear CMOS buttons.

Plenty of extreme overclocking potential

This morning on XtremeSystems Forums, overclocking champion and living legend Shamino posted some sneak preview pictures of an upcoming EVGA P55 motherboard that we briefly skimmed last month named 132-LF-E657.

According to Shamino, this board is “pretty focused on overclocking,” featuring a 12-phase analog PWM design powered by the same dual EPS 12v connectors found on the EVGA X58 SLI Classified. This layout for vCore voltage allows adjustments in the range between 300KHz and 1100KHz. The board also features dual clock generators, one alongside the CPU area and another below the top PCI-Express slot.

As far as CPU mounting options are concerned, the 132-LF-E657 will allow for LGA 1156 heatsinks as well as LGA 775 heatsinks to be mounted, with the 775 mounting holes rotated slightly at one degree next to the 1156 holes which are in normal position. The board also allows a liquid nitrogen pot to be installed such as the lovely F1 EE produced and developed by K|ngp|n himself.

The board also features Low Inductance Ceramic Capacitors (LICC) in the CPU socket cavity, PCI-Express slot disable jumpers, and a parallel connector for the EVGA Control Panel (ECP).

Shamino is also showing off a new EVGA accessory device that he labels “future fun” for now, although more detail should come into light very soon.

Shamino is the architect behind this awesome board. He truly is a genius when it comes to making OC friendly boards.

First Foxconn Mars then Foxconn Blackops then Evga Classified and now this.Impeccable success record i must say.

Looking forward to more such boards.
