I didn't played it much as it was a huge 14 GB download and you know the speeds in India. My 2 MBPS plan took 25 hours to finish the download. The Big Alpha was all about the multiplayer and I was teamed up with mostly from US, Russia or other parts of the world but I don't think it would be the same with full release.
So few points in my short gameplay time:
Gameplay
1. The game is not 4v4 but a 4v1 Game. Unlike in L4D2 where you had a 4 infected vs 4 survivors.
2. You are matched randomly with strangers around the globe to fight a huge monster which evolves.
3. The main aim is to kill the monster which wins you the game.
4. There are many types of characters, but the most I liked were tracker, support or medic.
5. The game needs huge team work which was too much impossible with strangers for me. If you have played DOTA 2 then you know what teamwork is and the same is required here. You are just a simple bait to monster if you're alone.
6. The game gets boring sometime when your just tracking down the monster with footprints other marks and roaming here and there.
7. There are so many plants which eat you up when you are tracking down the monster.
8. I had bit of connectivity woes as I don't think much of the Indian players would not have downloaded 14 gigs for 2 days play.
9. I had heard that one could also play as monster but never got a chance.
10. There could be many improvements made in the game itself like better matchmaking, lower time to combine players, monster get too tough to beat, etc.
11. I won only 2 matches out of 6 I played.
Graphics and Performance
11. The graphics of the game are just too good. Much better than L4D2 (just my opinion!)
12. Performance was not so good on my high end rig as the game suffers from optimization issues a lot. I was getting minimum of as low as 15 FPS with Tessellation and FXAA. But following few tweaks on communities I got around 45-50 FPS which is very good for playing. I think it was because the game is still in Alpha mode and even beta. So it should improve much with full release. Its 2K game afterall.
