P Params7 Forerunner Oct 21, 2005 #1 Just got myself I/O DVD burner, so i'm new to DVD burning stuff.....i do know about DVD-/+R/RW but what kind of disks are DVD5 or DVD7 etc? what do these numbers in the end mean?

zhopudey Galvanizer Oct 21, 2005 #2 dvd5 I think would be our normal dvd with 4.7 billion bytes capacity (4.3GB) dvd9 is the dual-layer dvd with 8.4 billion bytes capacity. no idea about dvd6

Shripad Herald Oct 21, 2005 #4 there are DVD6/7+/8 . This is more of a hardware standard. i mean player standard.
