Storage Solutions Excelstor hard drives

Have you guys heard about Excelstor, which too makes hard drives?

We know about wd, st, samsung, hitachi, quantum etc. But Excelstor seems way old manufacturer and is not common but still people are using it. Its a chinese co. though, dont mind.

there's one indian company Simmtronics, which recently started making hard drives a year back i think.

WD and seagate themselves are not reliable nowadays. How to rely on these ?

.In april 2011 they were selling their 500GB HDD for Rs 1900 and their 1TB at Rs 3000 can anyone tell me what the prices of WD and seagate during that time ?

my joy was short lived its selling for the same price as WD/SG drives on ebay :

The seagate and WD 500 GB were arnd 1750 and 1TB costed around 2700

80GB IDE : Rs 1200

120GB IDE : Rs 1900

250GB IDE : Rs 2500

320GB SATA : Rs 3850

All drives come with 3 yrs warranty .Navkar computers is their dealer in chennai .
