From what I have been seeing, the Exclusive Classifieds section is not getting the love or the attention it deserves.

There are some reputed members making posts there and due to inherent restrictions many old members are unable to post or discuss anything.

It would be good if we could make the section in such a way that only the thread creation is restricted to the skilled members while posting after the thread creation could be open to all.

@superczar and @ANP !!! would you like to chime in on this?

I had no idea there are restrictions within that section.
I am normally OK with the idea of having a free-for-all spam fest on my FS threads and I would not have created my last FS thread in that section if I knew that was the case.

I sent you a PM because I couldn’t post. Just wanted to add a post saying it was a good device at a good price.

I wanted to do the same for @ANP !!! s post on Marshall Speakers. But no luck.

Doesn't really make a difference then, isn't it. The whole point of that section was that people did not want policing and trolling on sale threads. It is an experiment and if it fails, it fails.

It's not getting the attention you think it deserves because the requirements is not a minor thing. And many of the members and posters have fewer posts. Maybe we can also let users with X number of market feedback join the section. Just an idea.
But I like the exclusive concept and it should be kept.

I didnt knew new members arent able to post, It would be great if everyone can post on the threads.

Sorry for late reply, was on travel.

Or, we could probably have them in the regular market section, with a different colour or something or an exclusive badge with the restrictions on the posts intact. That will be best of both worlds.

Oh, wow. I thought only skilled+ members could create a thread - but anyone could view.

I created two threads in that section, they are more suited for the 'regular' Classifieds section.

If possible can they be moved to the Classifieds section?

this and this

I think if they move 'exclusive classified' and 'dealers paradise' sections as subfolders to regular classifieds section then they may get more eyeballs.

Until now I didn't even know exclusive classified section. I also discovered dealers paradise by accident.

Lol the exclusive classified was moved from the sub-forum of regular classifieds for the same reason "visibility."

Having all my classifieds moved to exclusive classifieds forcibly seems counter-intuitive as the response is definitely worse than bumping threads in the regular classifieds section.

As I also mentioned in another thread, the fact that these don't even turn up in the Buy Sell Trade section ensures that it receives even lesser attention.

Updates made to 2 sale threads over 2 consecutive days results in merging of posts.

Lastly, it is unfair to not be able to exchange feedback with buyers who are unable to post, as I was not the one who chose to post under exclusive classifieds.

Thus, can it be made a choice as to where I can have my classifieds?

Honestly, how many people check the exclusive classified section?

And how many people even know such a section exists?

Why and how was it forced?

Haha! Any idea why?
I can only assume it was thought to be benefical or a decluttering exercise (mods would know). Didn't help that the posts never turn up under Buy Sell Trade, nor that there was no bump option or the fact that some buyers couldn't connect properly or exchange feedback.
