Many of you must have heard about the news of the MPAA strikes against the bit torrent community. Among the most high profile casuality in the strikes was the largest bt network of www.suprnova.org

For a long time suprnova had been the network for all the torrent links but the heightened pressure meant that some 7 days back suprnova announced abruptly that it was quitting the scene. For many this probably meant a crushing blow to the bt network as one of the biggest providers was closing.

Sloncek the founder of suprnova yesterday gave a live radio interview in which he announced the arrival of the new next generation p2p " eXeem "

Now we are proud to present the same to you.

As you may have heard in the interview that this is under development. Infact there is no public domain version out yet and won't be for 2-3 weeks. Its launch is slated for late jan.

Now as you heard there, it envisages the use of a decentralized network and tracker(the kind that i might add exists in azureus too at the moment) Moreover it has extensive protection against fake files.(listen to audio)

Having said that the biggest flaw is that this thing has adware. Yaa bad luck but thats what it is. And since this is under development you don't have a ad free lite version too. So for the moment you have to live with it. (Some say suprnova sold out to ad companies.... to heck... suprnova was sold out with all the banner ads.... if there are ads in the program it won't matter if the program is good, and it looks good alright.)

Below we are pasting original screenshots of the prog in action. We have given a download link also. But please i cannot give the serial to you. You can download and get its feel.

So need to download the Torrent file and then open it in the software, simply search in the software and download?

havta say that it ain't looking that grt.
has a whole lot of adware and certainly does not look quite userfriendly like suprnova was. But then suprnova was never that user friendly anyway with a fair dose of banner ads there were plenty of clean mirrors around.
Right now the saving grace for exeem could be exeem lite and i don't forsee that happening till feb mid i think.(ie. if it comes out but i am sure it will)

But the bigger question is that inspite of all the so called strikes by MPAA bit torrent is not dead. There are a plethora of sites out there and kickin'. Yes some big names are down but already they are being replaced by some cool new ones ( Torrentspy, lokitorrents or torrentstop, sharelive... etc etc....) And many non english torrent sites have not even been targeted inspite of them being pretty big too. So its an open question as to why we need a new p2p at all(Ofcourse better security and annoymity is always welcome :P )

FIRST OF ALL I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT EXEEM IS DAYS AWAY FROM OFFICIAL LAUNCH. THE LAUNCH DATE IS ANYTIME FROM TODAY TO A MAX OF 24TH jAN.


But apart from that, as was expected the lite version of exeem free from spyware and cydoor is now also up and ready to be launched alongwith exeem.
The lite version will be available through this site: exlite.net

And the lite beta is NOW available.

In the above version simply close the serial window that pops up. The client is fully functional :P

BTW at my writing this the network is down.
 
OK I installed this Lite version. I even got it to conect and downloaded two files both of which ended up being for the eXeem Beta 2.0. I am not getting a good feeling about this.
 
good feelings, me starting to have terrrible feelings. Just 24hours in and this thing has returned me two fake files. 1 fake album and anoother fake song.
For an app that was designed to combat fakes, thats hardly the kinda start you want.
 
stop that ares thing...
its network is very small right now. Try emule if you want. Much better then ares in the coverage. :tongue:

Hah!

Ares has given me everything for everything I've needed! Even for the least known bands.

Emule and eDonkey were very very slow for me.
