Experience with domestic job placement agencies ?

Ok first of all I am aware that one can search for job domestically in India using websites like monster, naukri etc. also whenever we post our resume on these websites, we end up getting calls from random agencies who send us for interview to those companies.
But sometimes there are cases that we do not really get the calls for interview as much as we expect. I am talking about job switching for experienced professionals, not freshers. In such cases one can approach one of those agencies who sometimes charge a fee to "help" you secure the job. So I want to know whether anyone here has experience with any local or some chain of job placement agencies in India ?
 
Well,i have gotten calls mostly from Monster but even Naukri and Timesjobs have improved of lately. Now,i have not paid them anything till now.
 
Ive had experiences with placement agencies for recruiting as well as getting recruited over the years.
What is it that you are looking for ?
 
I am curious to ask this,are they any good for placements outside India like South East Asia-UK etc ?
 
Many such cos. are fake agencies who are open just coz of looting innocent people. 2 of my friends fell prey to such cos. One co. demanded first 1.5months salary while other demanded 30k only to find a job of 10k pm which never happened and he lost his money. :mad::rage: This is how they go.
Even I being jobless for more than a year now I prefer to crack interviews on my basis and sell my selves no matter how long it takes rather than hiring such so called agents who will sell you in the naukri bazaar.:jimlad:

Such agencies give you the feeling as if you are prostitutes/call gals and got no takers and these people are helping sell yourself just for a mere penny. :nomouth:
