Experiments with phase change cooling on GPU Memory @ VR

Shamino, one of the top overclockers in the world is at it again. He thinks he was limited by the GDDR3 on his 7900GTX(s) and so he goes and builds a phase-change cooling solution for RAM. Practically insane?? Yes, But a must read as it is informative for sure

In pursuit of further overclocks on graphics card memory, one looks into several aspects, such as memory voltages. When it does not help much, we start looking at cooling. RAMsinks are usually used for this purpose, but I was looking for something more cooling... a lot more cooling. I could throw some Dryice on the memory but that would entail the hassle of ordering dry ice everytime I want to do some benchmarking. So I decided to try out something extreme, using refrigeration phase change on the graphics card memory!
