CPU/Mobo Expert guidance please: Mobo suggestion

I've almost finalised AMD X4 620 + Gigabyte 785 GMT US2H (since UD2H not available). Rs.10600/- at primeABGB.

I want basic graphics support in my PC.

Can you advise :
1) whether to go for above combo ? or

2) any other DDR3 mobo to support x4 620 etc and a separate graphics card (with similar capability which is on Gigabyte 785 GMT US2H this mobo) so that I can independently keep these components in future (say change in mobo due to failure etc).

Please suggest.

Go with the above combo...
For basic graphics support, that onboard would be more than enough...
As for your 2nd question, if your mobo fails, you would still need to get another mobo so what is the use having a separate graphics card then?
 
if you game a lot you can try a PII 555 B.E for 5450.
These Phenoms have high Probability of unlocking and will provide you much better performance overall.
the PII is like Phenom X4 955 BE at 5.45K.
