a lot of us use cellphones that go beyond the basic functionalities expected from a phone
The time when you need these features the most is when you are traveling and have a lot of time to kill.
Unfortunately, that's also when you don't have access to a power plug and cannot really use games/browser since you don't want to run out of battery while travelling

I remember having seen an external battery pack with a USB power out long time ago...the idea being you recharge the battery pack (usually a large capacity battery) and then plug the pack's output into your cellphone/mp3 player (or any USB/+5V chargeable device) to revive the juice

Any idea on where such a thing would be available?

have seen camelion packs. takes 1 or 2 AA cells, conenct to phone and phone charges

Can we have a GO a good hand cracking device ? .This will be the best .

Can any one located a reliable sturdy hand cracking (power generating ) device . I would like to get one of these.

The problem wiith external power source is ....... what will you do even if that runs out of power :P ?

@superczar, don't your laptop have the always-on usb port. Or are you looking for something very small ?

guys i m also looking for a external power supply for my lappy . there no light 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs .

for mobile i had listed the crank charger in eBay India Hot Deals and Coupons discussion . have already bought it but want something for my lappy

ordered something cheap & Small..basically a Chinese 3600 mAh (claimed) battery pack with USB out from ebay..similar to that fueltank thingie posted by Anish though obviously not as uber looking

Came to ~ 800 after applying a 300 off coupon

. It's not something I'll be using on a regular basis (not even sure when I'll use it) so didnt want to plonk money on that APC or anything too expensive
