Here is an Ad I came across for external USB cases - including the last 2 which connect to "Enternal" SATA - HUH !!! WHAT IS THAT !!!

This is the first time I have seen a USB External HDD case for SATA drives - the case model number VPA-35018.

thats crap --- 2850/- for a Casing when a 200gb costs 5000/- . I dont think one shall use a sata casing since Specifications of SATA II implies SATA HOT SWAP. We just need to wait till the motherboard manufacturers give out complete functionality to us, so does the chassis manufacturers for dekstop PC's

Hi all,
Meher I guess you don't know this but the premier USB cases have some kind of shock protection either sorbothane gel or Poron shock absorbing materials (visco-elastic cushioning material). This is of lacie & premium products of that kind & in corporate settings/hackers/coders it does make sense where huge amounts of data need to be transferred (GB's through physical transport) which can't be done any other way. I do however agree with you with the SATA II specs & functionality completely coming out in the mkt.
